About Earl
Earl Little Jr is a south Florida native and he’s a 4 star student athlete from American Heritage Plantation School in Plantation, FL. Earl will graduate with a 4.0 GPA on May 21, 2022 and will attend the University of Alabama on a football scholarship. Earl started on varsity for three consecutive years. Earl is the youngest of 3 children. His sisters are Tia Little and Ashley Little. Earl Jr. has one nephew(Levi) and one niece(Jinger).
Little Jr. ranked the number 1 overall defensive back and the number 5 ranked cornerback nationally. Nicknamed The STANDARD, EJr2 or The Swiss Army knife because he plays every position in the defensive back field at an elite level. With very quick feet, fluid hips, great ball skills, toughness and most importantly, a high football IQ… Made him feared to throw against during games. He starred at the Star position because of his versatility. He’s very good when he blitz and physical in the run game. He shuts down opponents slot wr or put him on the island and he’ll take away opponents #1 wr. Little Jr. also plays both safety positions. He’s a sure tackler in the open field and a ball hawk when playing the middle of the field.
During his sophomore season at AHP, he totaled 50 tackles, 8 PBU and 5 interceptions. He help the to team to the state playoffs and Earning him a spot on the All Broward county team.
Junior year… He missed the first four games of the season because of upper leg injury. He totaled 43 tackles, 6 PBU and 5 interceptions… All while helping his team win the 2020 FL 5A Class State Championship. He earned All Broward county first team and first team All State.
Senior season… Little Jr. totaled 34 tackles, 5 PBU and 3 interceptions. Teams avoided him pretty much all season. He also played WR and returned punts and Kickoffs to help his team make the state playoffs for a third consecutive year. Little Jr earned First team All Broward, All Broward Super 11 first team, First team All State and First Team Adidas All American. He was a 2021 CBS4 Nat Moore trophy candidate.
Youth days… Little Jr played started playing sports at the young age of 4 years old. Soccer was his first organized team sport. He played, soccer, football, basketball, track and baseball. Soccer, track and football are his favorites. Every year he was an All Star in every sport. He ran track for Miami Northwest Express Track club. Coached by the late great legendary coach Holt(RIP). He’s a 7x USA Track and Field Youth All American. He competed at the USATF Youth National Championship in the 100 meters, 800 meters, Long Long Jump, 80 meters hurdles, 4x100 relay and the 4x400 relay. All earning him All American medals.
Little Jr. was raised in a single family home with his mother, father and siblings. Sports was in his DNA. His mother Jessie and Father Earl Sr started dating in high school and are both former athletes. Jessie ran track and played soccer. She earn a soccer scholarship to St. Thomas University. Played two years before transferring and graduating from Florida International University(FIU). Earl Sr is a graduate of the University of Miami and starred on the football team. He played 9 years in the NFL. The football bloodline runs deep in the Little family. Cousins of 2 NFL Hall of Famers… Larry Little and the late great Floyd Little (RIP).
Football- This beautiful game means so much to Earl Jr. as a toddler, his parents knew he was going to play football. He played flag football at 5 years old and started playing tackle football when he was 6 years old. You knew he was in love with everything about the game once he got on the field. The beautiful memories of all the driving to practice and all the hot early Saturday mornings for games in the SoFlo heat… All paid off. University of Alabama is the next stop in the 3 phases of this football journey. Time to work and Roll Tide!
